$34 million permit issued for costly West Loop condo project

Construction is moving forward on the 10-story 900 West condominium project at 904 W. Washington Blvd. in the West Loop.

The $34 million permit issued to owner Torikago LLC follows a foundation permit issued earlier in the year. The condos in this building will not be inexpensive. There are only 22 units.

Crain’s has reported that at least one condo in the unbuilt structure been contracted for $5 million, four times the neighbourhood’s previous sales record. The project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2018.

Power Construction Company is the project’s general contractor, which is self-performing the masonry trade. Key subtrades include: Electrical, Shamrock Electric Co., Inc.; plumbing, Advance Mechanical Systems, Inc.; and ventilation, Premier Mechanical Inc.
