Wayne J. Griffin Electric Inc., headquartered in Holliston, MA, recently provided backpacks filled with essential school supplies to local students as part of its annual backpack drive.
The electrical subcontractor partnered with two local non-profits, the Holliston Pantry Shelf and Medway House, to donate the supplies to children ranging from pre-school through high school. According to a press release, each backpack also contained a gift card to help families cover additional school expenses.
The Holliston Pantry Shelf provides free food and personal care items to local residents, while Medway House is a homeless shelter that works to find permanent housing for families.
Griffin Electric has been in business since 1978 and operates in New England and the Southeast, with its headquarters in Holliston and regional offices in Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina. The company employs nearly 1,500 people.
In 2024, Engineering News-Record ranked the company 25th among the top 50 national electrical contractors and first among electrical contractors in New England.
