ATLANTA — Maynard Nexsen has announced the addition of two attorneys, Neil Wilcove and Devon Griger, to the firm’s Atlanta office, further expanding its construction and commercial litigation capabilities.
The move aims to strengthen the firm’s service to clients nationwide, particularly within the Southeast’s construction and real estate sectors.
“Neil and Devon are outstanding additions to our Construction Practice Group,” said Harper Heckman, chair of Maynard Nexsen’s Construction Practice. “The experience, skill, and strong industry relationships—particularly in Georgia’s construction community—make them both immediate assets to our clients. We’re delighted to welcome them to the team.”
Wilcove joins the firm as a shareholder. A veteran commercial litigator, his practice centers on construction and real estate disputes. He represents a broad spectrum of industry stakeholders, including owners, contractors, subcontractors, and design team members. His expertise includes handling payment disputes, delay claims, and design defects, as well as negotiating and drafting construction contracts.
In addition to his legal practice, Wilcove is active in industry legislative matters. He leads the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Georgia Legislative Taskforce and serves on the ABC National Legislative Committee. He has previously served as legal counsel and a board member for ABC of Georgia, as well as for Georgia Built and the Construction Financial Management Association of Georgia (CFMA).
Griger joins as an associate, representing owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in Georgia and Tennessee. Her practice focuses on resolving disputes related to large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, specifically involving breach of contract, delay and disruption, and construction defect claims. She also has experience in high-stakes mediation and arbitration.
Wilcove is a graduate of Siena College and earned his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University. Griger graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and public relations from the University of Georgia and earned her law degree, cum laude, from Tulane University.
