AdventHealth is expanding its footprint in Pasco County in west-central Florida with the construction of a new medical office building on the AdventHealth Zephyrhills campus.
The nearly 35,000-sq. ft. structure will provide space for new and existing physicians and offer patients additional health care options close to home. The building will house primary care and specialty practices, including cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery and urology.
Groundbreaking for the project took place Aug. 29, reflecting both the growth of the community and the hospital’s more than 40 years of service in the area. Pasco County is projecting a 40 per cent population increase by 2045, with much of that growth expected in the central and southern parts of the county.
“This new space will allow us to recruit additional top physicians and provide them with the resources they need to deliver the highest quality of care,” said Mike Murrill, president and CEO of AdventHealth Zephyrhills. “As our community grows, we remain committed to helping our neighbors heal and feel whole, close to where we live, work and play.”
AdventHealth is partnering with HuntonBrady Architects and construction firm Robins & Morton on the project. Completion is scheduled for fall 2026.
The medical office building is the latest in a series of AdventHealth investments in Pasco County. Recent projects include the opening of the AdventHealth Meadow Pointe ER, a new Sports Med and Rehab clinic in Zephyrhills, and a renovated electrophysiology lab. AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is also preparing to open an expanded three-story North Wing and two-story South Courtyard Infill later this year.
Robins & Morton division manager Todd Watson said the project continues a long-term partnership with AdventHealth. “We are honored to help bring this new facility to life as it expands access to high-quality healthcare for our community,” he said.
