Daniel Corporation and general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie have topped out a seven-story luxury apartment complex at the corner of Sixth and North Graham streets in Charlotte’s Historic Fourth Ward, marking a key milestone in the project’s construction.

The development incorporates the preserved façade of the former Fourth Ward Bread Co. building, a design decision intended to maintain the historic character of the neighborhood while introducing high-end, modern amenities.

“This is an exciting milestone for our team,” said Michael Byrd, vice president and division manager at Brasfield & Gorrie. “Together, we’ve embraced the challenge of preserving the existing building façade while adding modern, elevated amenities on the inside.”

The 241-unit, 376,322-sq. ft. multifamily project features an elevated pool deck, fitness center, co-working space, club room, retail, and a dog spa. A 2.5-story cast-in-place concrete podium includes below-grade parking, slab-on-grade residential units and amenities, and elevated parking and residential slabs. Brasfield & Gorrie self-performed more than 11,600 cubic yards of concrete on site.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate this major milestone and to be one step closer to delivering an exceptional community in the heart of Charlotte,” said Cameron Conner, senior vice president at Daniel Corporation.

Construction is scheduled for completion in summer 2026.
