Stevens Construction has begun work on a 94,440-sq. ft. expansion and renovation project for B&I Contractors, a leading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing specialty contractor based in Fort Myers.
The project at 2701 Prince St. will significantly expand B&I’s headquarters and manufacturing capacity to support the company’s continued growth across Florida, Stevens Construction president Mark Stevens announced.
As construction manager, Stevens Construction is overseeing multiple components of the expansion, including a new 12,000-sq. ft. metal building that will serve as office space and a 37,000-sq. ft. structure featuring 5,775 sq. ft. of offices and 31,225 sq. ft. of manufacturing space.
The project also includes a 41,440-square-foot expansion of B&I’s existing building for additional manufacturing space and the renovation of a 4,000-square-foot mezzanine into new offices.
“The expansion reflects B&I’s ongoing investment in the Southwest Florida community and its commitment to innovation, training, and operational excellence,” the company said.
The project team includes Project Manager Mike Alisea, Superintendents Jeff Brunderman and Yoendry Campos Martinez, and Project Administrator Gina Varner. Studio AD is serving as architect of record, with Quattrone & Associates providing civil engineering services.
B&I Contractors, which provides mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services across the state, says the upgraded facilities will enhance its ability to meet growing demand while reinforcing its roots in Southwest Florida’s construction and manufacturing sector.
