Chicago issues $28.7 million permit for 1950 Polk St. hospital system outpatient center

Construction is moving forward on the nine-story Cook County Hospital system outpatient center at 1950 Polk St.

Chicago has issued a $28.7 million building permit for the superstructure core and shell for what Curbed Chicago reports will ultimately be a $109 million project for developer Clayco, designed by Gensler.

The permit lists Clayco as the general contractor. Subcontractors include: Masonry II in One Contractors, Inc.; plumbingKellenberger Plumbing & Underground, Inc.; and refrigeration and ventilation — Air Design Systems.
