Clark Pacific has broken ground on a new manufacturing plant in Coolidge, Arizona, that will triple the company’s production capacity and expand its ability to serve construction projects across the Southwest and Mountain West. Prefabricated building systems will be manufactured in a temporary facility while construction of the permanent plant continues.
“Clark Pacific’s new facility in Coolidge is a major win for rural Arizona and Pinal County,” said Sandra Watson, president and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “The facility will support an important phase in commercial projects, fueling economic growth and strengthening the region’s growing manufacturing industry.”
The facility will span 110 acres when fully built out and will be constructed in phases, with the final phase scheduled for completion by spring 2027.
“Our new Coolidge plant expands our capacity and allows us to better serve customers throughout the region,” said Donald Clark, co-CEO of Clark Pacific. “By manufacturing building components off-site, we can help deliver projects more efficiently while reducing disruption on the jobsite.”
The expansion comes as contractors and developers face labour shortages, tighter construction schedules and rising costs. Clark Pacific said prefabrication can help address those challenges by moving the manufacturing of major building components into a controlled factory environment.
The company’s prefabricated structural systems are manufactured off-site and transported to projects for installation. The approach is used on large commercial and institutional projects, including parking structures, data centres and advanced manufacturing facilities.
Clark Pacific said the process can provide greater cost and schedule certainty while reducing on-site construction activity and project risk.
The Arizona facility will complement Clark Pacific’s existing manufacturing operations in Woodland and Adelanto, California.
“With the rapid growth of Greater Phoenix, Clark Pacific is positioned to provide developers with resources they need to keep up with demand efficiently and cost-effectively,” said Christine Mackay, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.
Clark Pacific partners with owners and design-build teams to develop prefabricated building strategies for commercial and institutional projects. The company’s expansion in Coolidge is expected to increase its capacity to support construction activity throughout Arizona and the broader Southwest.
