Miami-based Coastal Construction Group, of the region’s biggest general contractors, says it is expanding to Orlando and Tampa.
The contractor will open a Central Florida office in Orlando and has named Sean DeMartino as president of the Central and North Florida division, the company announced on June 28.
DeMartino previously worked for Balfour Beatty, where he was a division president.
Competition among contractors in the tri-county area has increased amid a downsized and different mix of work, Tom Murphy, Coastal co-president, said in The Real Deal‘s (TRD) June issue.
TRD ranked Coastal with 325 employees as the second largest in South Florida.
