Engineers, architects, and construction professionals from across the country will descend on Raleigh later this month for the 2025 CFSEI Expo, an event focused on cold-formed steel (CFS) framing innovation, education, and industry networking.
Hosted by the Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI), the three-day conference runs May 19–21 at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley Hotel, offering technical sessions, hands-on demos, and continuing education credits recognized by the American Institute of Architects.
Billed as the go-to event for both seasoned professionals and newcomers in the CFS framing space, the expo features a full schedule of lectures, interactive exhibits, and social mixers — all aimed at advancing the use and understanding of cold-formed steel in construction.
Highlights of the 2025 Expo include:
- “Tool Time” hands-on exposition (May 19) showcasing the latest CFS technologies
- Keynote session on integrating AI into structural engineering (May 20)

More than a dozen technical sessions will cover topics ranging from seismic design and flexural member analysis to ethics in engineering and prefabricated steel skin systems. The event also provides multiple networking opportunities, including a welcome reception, a young professionals mixer, and a dinner at the Raleigh Beer Garden.
Registration costs vary depending on attendance options, with full-conference access priced at $425. Single-day passes and social event tickets are also available. A spouse lunch option is offered at $125 per day.
