Honda EU7000is Generator, GENERAL OVERVIEW

 Introduction

Regardless of the scenario calling for backup power – a blackout in a residential neighborhood, a tailgating party on a college campus, a family gathering at a remote campsite, or powering tools and machinery at a commercial worksite – the demand for quiet, portable power is a part of everyday 21st century life around the globe.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is no stranger to this demand. More than 40 years ago, the company’s Honda Power Equipment division began searching for ways to expand its lineup of generator products.

Four decades later, Honda Power Equipment continues to inject its technological innovation into the research and development of portable power to meet and exceed customer expectations with the introduction of its newest generator model, the all-new EU7000is. Honda’s newest Super Quiet Series generator is a premium offering that speaks to the modern marketplace for an array of commercial and residential backup power needs. Addressing customer demand for an even more powerful model than the EU6500is model it replaces — while still portable and exceptionally quiet — the all-new lightweight, low noise, compact and fuel efficient EU7000is generator leads the Honda EU Super Quiet class in high quality, portable power technology.

The EU7000is Features at a Glance: Creating the Next Generation for Portable Power

Adding greater power to the Super Quiet Series, the new EU7000is generator is a leader in the gasoline-powered generator market for light weight, compact design, fuel efficiency, and dramatically lower noise. The all-new model boasts the following performance enhancements:

  • Technological innovation: the Honda EU7000is generator incorporates the company’s first application of electronic fuel injection into the design of a generator, resulting in greater fuel efficiency, extremely easy starting without the need for a choke, and longer running times than the EU6500is model it replaces.
  • Lower fuel consumption: the all-new EU7000is, equipped with a new 5.1 gallon gas tank, can operate for six hours per tankful of gas at rated load or an estimated 18 hours at ¼ load. This allows the generator to realize a 25 percent increase in run time and a 20 percent increase in fuel economy over the outgoing EU6500is model.
  • High quality power output: output of the EU7000is is enhanced commercial grade electricity with the wave form distortion factor of less than 2.5 percent; performance exceeds liquid cooled generator models known for quietness and reliability.
  • Noise reduction: super-quiet operation of the all-new EU7000is generator is accomplished through a separate triple chamber construction, a centralized intake/exhaust system and the Eco-Throttleâ„¢ design; these features all contribute to an operating noise level of 60 dB at rated load.
