IndyGo invites contractors to June 27 Red Line bidding information session

IndyGo has invited contractors to an information session where it will share details on the upcoming Red Line Rapid Transit System project including a timeline, procurement process, and bid packages.

“The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and the Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA) will provide details on business pre-qualifications and certifications related to the Red Line,” the announcement says.

The north-south bus line is expected to receive $50 million in federal funds. The cost of the full transit system expansion, including improvements to current routes, is estimated to be $176 million.

The event takes place Tuesday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Indianapolis Central Public Library, 40 E. St. Clair St.

To attend, RSVP before June 25 to procurement@indygo.net.

In a separate opportunity, IndyGo is seeking a strategic planning consultant to lead the development of a comprehensive strategic plan.

“The vendor is expected to seek and evaluate input from internal audiences, as well as assist in the creation of IndyGo’s mission, vision, and values. The vendor will convene various internal stakeholders and execute a collaborative process to create mission, vision, and values statements. Lastly, the vendor will assist with prioritization through meaningful dialogue and build consensus in the strategic planning process.”
