Novak Construction has broken ground on a 9,000 sq. ft. Portillo’s restaurant in Fishers.
Portillo’s CEO Keith Kinsey joined by Sam Herston (director of restaurant development), Walter Sydor (Portillo’s in-house architect), Sherri Abruscato (Portillo’s COO) and Mayor Scott Fadness were present at the June 2 ceremony.
The four acre site includes new site utilities, concrete sidewalks and curbs, asphalt paving, and site improvements. The 250-seat restaurant will be a CMU structure with brick veneer and architectural steel elements. It will include a patio and double drive-thru.
This location is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2017. Novak also has two other Portillo’s projects currently under construction in Normal, IL and Woodbury, MN.
