Spataro assists with bidding and budgeting and produces subcontract information including change orders and billing. He is also responsible for RFI and submittal tracking, preparing client and internal meeting documentation and project closeouts. In addition, Spataro participates in design coordination and interacts with clients.
He believes in a creative problem solving philosophy that starts with sound strategic reasoning. He has translated a career in education to the construction industry. He was a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) teacher for Chicago Public Schools and worked alongside a retired mechanical engineer.
While there, he helped increase enrolment by 150 percent and promoted a team-oriented environment while teaching coding, building and circuits at six schools. He also worked as a research assistant at University of Illinois, Chicago, where he conducted engineering research. He created presentations to convey research results to his group and peers, modeled results and analyzed data.
“Jason’s leadership, meticulous nature and affinity for engineering make him a natural fit for what we do here,” says PREMIER executive vice-president Brian Paul. “He has precisely the kind of vitality and determination we look for in a team player. He has the promise and energy our teams thrive upon and our clients will surely benefit from his work ethic. We are excited to have him with us.”
