PREMIER Design + Build Group opens southern California office

Itasca, IL -based PREMIER Design + Build, LLC announces the opening of its first Southern California office. The firm chose the location to meet the demands of Southern California’s sophisticated end users by delivering new, state-of-the-art industrial spaces.

The design + build company’s extensive experience with industrial construction coupled with the opportunity to work closely with their California clients fueled the need for a PREMIER Southwest Division.

Steven Gabbert, an 11-year Southern California construction veteran in design and build sustainability across the greater Los Angeles area, will head the office and lead the charge to enhance the business success of PREMIER’s clients.

The new division will concentrate on the immediate needs of the Inland Empire: the industrial-complex-rich region east of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. PREMIER specializes in building spaces that meet the needs of the ecommerce companies purchasing and leasing vast warehouses across this region. Such tenants are consistently seeking more efficient, sustainable and geographically strategic distribution centers. PREMIER builds distribution centers to spec and with business growth in mind.

Large companies are not the only beneficiaries of this move toward state-of-the-art distribution centers. More industrial activity means increased job creation and there is a large and willing workforce in and around San Bernadino and Riverside Counties at the heart of the Inland Empire. More distribution also means more shipments moving through the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.

“We are thrilled to partner with our clients in California and see this as an opportunity to be a part of economic growth and industrial modernization on a regional, national and global scale,” says PREMIER executive vice-president Brian Paul. “Of course this is an ambitious endeavor, and we are confident taking on the new venture with a visionary such as Steven Gabbert at the helm.”

Gabbert’s experience, certifications, recognition and focus made him the right choice to service PREMIER’s Southern California clients. He is a LEED accredited professional, a certified building commissioning professional, a certified sustainable building advisor and is the Chairman of the United States Green Building Council, Orange County Chapter. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Sustainability Council of Orange County.
