Reed Construction says it will build a new family clinic for Northwestern Medicine Delnor in Geneva. The new addition will add 21,000 sq. ft. of space to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital’s current 159-bed, acute-care facility.
The two-story building’s interior will include a waiting area, 22 exam rooms, a procedure room, laboratory space, resident work room, offices and conference rooms. In addition to many acute interior design elements, the new Family Clinic will have exterior façade components of masonry veneer, metal panels, and glazing, the contractor says.
Construction will start this month and is scheduled for completion in 10 months. Kluber Architects & Engineers designed the structure.
Reed Construction will be integrating the use of internet of things technology to monitor the site with a live feed interactive camera to deliver real time quality control documentation and schedule status feedback. The project was also selected to be a pilot project for virtual reality construction progress photo documentation.
Project executive Jack Sbertoli is leading the construction team for the contractor, with senior project manager James Both, project manager Brock Reckelhoff, project engineer Nick Stading, and senior project superintendent Jim Blake.
