River North Point building gets concrete repair job close to $3 million

It’s a big concrete repair job, and in a slow week for Chicago building permits, the largest permit issued since Labor Day (until Sept. 11, 2017).

But then, the $2,932,500.30 in non-structural work is on a really big building; River North Point at 350 N. Orleans St., has two million sq. ft. in its 24 floors.

The permit says: “All elevations, repair/replace precast concrete sealant joints 100%, repair/replace spalled concrete 2,000 sq. ft., only. All work same as existing. No structural work. Subject to field inspections.”

Masonry contractor Quality Restorations, Inc. is handling the job.
