Robbers dressed up as construction workers tied up a man inside his own home in the Bronx while waving around guns, the NYPD was quoted in a NBC-4 report.
In mid-April, two men had disguised themselves as construction workers by wearing yellow hard hats and vests and made their way to the home in Baychester knowing that the house was under construction, police said.
The homeowner believed the men were there to work on the home and willingly let the suspects inside, according to officials.
Once the suspects were inside the home, they took out firearms and tied the victim up, authorities said.
