International design firm VUW has revealed new renderings of Gramercy Square, a four-building residential complex slated for construction in Gramercy Park, Manhattan.
Developed by a partnership between The Chetrit Group and Clipper Equity, the development includes: The Tower at 215 East 19th St., The Prewar at 225 East 19th St., The Modern at 230 East 20th St., and The Boutique at 220 East 20th St.
The Modern will be a new seven-story structure, while the other towers will repurpose existing structures to deliver condominiums. Each building will have its own personality, and all four will be connected by a garden spanning approximately 20,000 sq. ft.
The Tower is expected to house 130 units; The Prewar, 48 units; and The Modern, 37 units. Three to four-bedroom condominiums in The Tower will feature ceilings 12 to 15 ft. tall. Some of them will be built with private terraces landscaped by award-winning M. Paul Friedberg and Partners.
The three to four-bedroom units will range in size, from 3,000 to 4,700 sq. ft. They will be sold with a starting price of $9.385 million. The Garden offers cheaper units, with a starting price of $2.925 million.
Future tenants of The Tower will gain access to a fitness center fitted with a glass wall, overlooking a hot tub and 75-ft. pool illuminated by five skylights.
Woods Bagot serves as project designer, and Pizzarotti LLC as builder. Sales and marketing will be handled by Douglas Elliman.
