Corenet Global awards the best real estate corporate projects in the Carolinas

Three corporate projects located in Charlotte, North Carolina have been recognized by Corenet Global Carolinas chapter as the “Best in the Carolinas in Corporate Real Estate” during the organization’s Second Annual Core Awards held at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Nov. 16.

An 8,000 sq. ft. renovation of the Charlotte Center City Partners (CCCP) offices won Project of the Year in the less than 50K SF category. CBi, Little Diversified Architectural Consulting and Rodgers Builders transformed the CCCP’s existing office space on the 16th level of 200 South Tryon St. to look and feel like a living room.

“It’s a beautiful place to work,” said CCCP director of communications Steven Cole. “We host a number of meetings here with our partners, and we are always happy to have them here because it really shows off how beautiful Center City is…”

In the more than 50K SF category, Sealed Air Corp.’s new Charlotte headquarters was named as Project of the Year. Built on 32 ac. Within LakePointe Corporate Center, the development includes three structures totaling 403,000 sq. ft. Project was handled by Childress Klein, CBRE, Stantec, LandDesign, tvsdesign, HOK, Shelco and Alfred Williams & Co.

The Innovation of the Year award was presented to Jones Lang LaSalle for installing license plate recognition technology in an Uptown office tower it manages. “This project offers a model to the commercial real estate industry that reduces the carbon footprint while installing cutting-edge technology to drive tenant satisfaction,” said Jo Ann Boddie, senior manager for strategic sourcing at JLL.

“The LPR allows for hands-free access to the garage, increased ingress and egress with minimal down time, chip-and-pin technology with more reliable bar-code features and future integration with building management and universal scheduling systems,” Boddie said.
