Frontier Scientific Solutions has begun full-scale construction of its cGMP temperature-controlled facility at Wilmington International Airport (ILM). The first vertical structures are now being installed, marking a major milestone in the development of what will be the largest GMP temperature-controlled facility in North America dedicated to the life sciences sector.
The facility is designed to enhance the efficiency and security of transporting time- and temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products. Once completed, it will establish a direct global gateway for life sciences, connecting North America and Europe with increased speed and reliability.

By providing the largest GMP temperature-controlled space in North America, we are enhancing operational efficiencies and ensuring critical healthcare products reach patients without delay.”
The Wilmington facility will include advanced features such as a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) designation, which will allow for duty deferral and operational efficiencies essential for the secure distribution of life sciences products across international borders. The FTZ status is expected to reduce the risk of product loss while promoting sustainability in the supply chain.
