MZM Corp. president Michael Hirsch says his New City, NY-based contracting business is celebrating its 25th anniversary. MZM has served the Metro NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island construction and construction management markets for a quarter of a century.
The company was founded in 1992 as general contractors for commercial and high-end residential markets.
A news release says Hirsch had more than 10 years of construction experience before opening the firm, including on-the-job training by Tishman Construction at Epcot in Orlando. His extensive experience includes a seven-story gut and rehab project in Manhattan as well as world famous restaurants, schools, hotel lobbies and more. With his decision to strike out on his own, Hirsch wanted to build a “dream team” of NYC talent.
First, he partnered with Robert Winnicki, who serves as both partner and vice-president, and has been in the metro NY construction trade for more than 35 years. He is a licensed construction superintendent.
Majed Abujaber completes the construction triumvirate as president of Benchmark Construction, MZM Corp.’s sister company, and has been an accomplished NYC builder for more than 25 years, specializing in high-end residential projects in Manhattan.
