Jacksonville-based Stellar has hired Michael A. Chapman as its director of PSM (process safety management) compliance and technological solutions.
Chapman will lead Stellar’s process safety management team, the company says in a news release.
Before joining Stellar, Chapman served Tyson Foods, Inc. for almost 17 years. He spent his last 10 years as the company’s program manager for process safety and risk management programs for all 100 plus U.S. locations.
“This valuable in-house experience gives Mike perspective and relatability when working with our clients,” said Brian Kappele, Stellar’s executive vice-president, food and beverage facility services. “He understands their needs and where they’re coming from, because he’s been in their shoes.”
